From the Director
Welcome to the first issue of EHS Advantage—a new SEMI e-news report written specifically for our industry and those who deal with Environmental, Health, and Safety topics...

SEMI works with members to provide sound information on international regulatory issues. We collaborate with government and industry organizations while representing SEMI member interests. We celebrate leadership and success through the Akira Inoue Award and Global Care. Advantage is our latest avenue to give you targeted information to help your company in the increasingly complex world of EHS.

I welcome your suggestions. Whether you want to offer an expert on an EHS topic or you would like to write an article yourself, do not be a stranger. I look forward to hearing from you. Enjoy the EHS Advantage.

With no exemptions for large scale tools as in EU RoHS, we worked quickly...(More)

Grapevine
For over eight years, EHS professionals in the semiconductor industry have shared useful technical and regulatory information over the SEMI EHS Grapevine. The Grapevine is an email-based discussion list—members send one email to sehs@ehs.semi.org and over 500 individuals across the industry receive it.

In response to requests from many Grapevine members, SEMI has upgraded the Grapevine to provide searchable archives of all emails. SEMI is working with its vendor to provide web access to all emails submitted since late 2001. These emails will form a valuable, living library of useful EHS information specific to the semiconductor industry. . .(More)
